The Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistan armed forces, Major General Asim Bajwa on Friday described the resolution of the Kashmir issue as the unfinished agenda of the relations between Pakistan and India, and added that the international community must step in to resolve the dispute if it wanted genuine peace was to be achieved in the region.

"Kashmir an unfinished agenda. World must help in resolving Kashmir Issue if it wants genuine peace in region," Major General Bajwa posted on Twitter.

He also accused India of intransigence, perpetrating Line of Control (LoC) violations and strategising against Pakistan, all factors which were affecting peace in the region. He also said that Kashmir was the core issue of the dispute.

Quoting Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Major General Bajwa said Pakistan's security environment is becoming conducive for upward economic trajectory, and added that it would continue in its endeavour towards bringing and ensuring total security.

Terming Pakistan's relations with Afghanistan as "brotherly", and said, "That border management and greater international cooperation is must for regional peace."

"Anti-Pak propaganda must end," he added.

"While we continue to support enduring peace in Afghanistan, let's all beware of detractors and spoilers," he added in apparent indirect reference to India.
