The situation in remote and backwards areas of the Kashmir Valley is no more the same as the youth in this region are now setting an example for others by qualifying for the prestigious government exams. Muhammad Imran Naik, who hails from the backward area of Doda, is one among those motivated youth aspiring to make it big.

Naik, who hails from a middle class family, has now taken charge as the Kashmir Administrative Officer (KAS) of Chenab valley area.

"While I was pursuing my graduation, I was a little inclined towards the civil services. I got motivated from the KAS officer of Chenab valley region. I had financial support from my family but there was no one to guide as they didn't have much idea about it. Whatever I felt right, I did it," said Naik whose father worked as a local contractor.

Pursuing his dream to join the civil services, Naik left his hometown and came to Delhi where he stayed for three years and prepared for competitive exams. Imran's dedication made him excel in the examination and today he stands as a shining and exemplary example.

"There is no fixed guideline or mantra to clear the exam. It depends upon person to person. It is important to have a focused approach. I try to severe the society in best manner I can. I will try to develop the area and help the needy people as much as I can," he said.
