Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has come under the radar of the Opposition parties post his flamboyant tribute at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateshwara near Tirumala.
Raging criticism of using public funds to fulfill personal vows, Congress leader Madhu Yashki Goud told ANI that it was gross misuse of public money and that the Opposition should file a complaint against the Chief Minister.
"This is not the first time that this is happening. He is spending crores of rupees of the tax payer's money as if it is his own personal property. It is not only unethical and unconstitutional but it amounts to criminal offence," he said.
Further noting that the Chief Minister has no right to spend money in such a flamboyant manner, the Congress leader asserted that it is a gross misuse of tax payer's money, adding that the Opposition should fight it legally in court.
KCR was seen donating gold, reportedly worth crores, at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple, also known as the Tirupati temple here.
KCR along with his wife and family members reached Renigunta Airport for a two-day tour of Tirumala and Tirupati.
