Keira Knightley has admitted that her mother's spelling problem is the reason behind her unique name.
The 'Imitation Game' actress told in an interview that her fatheer kept the star's name Kiera, but unfortunately her mother went to register her birth, and there she accidentally spelled 'ei' instead of 'ie', People Magazine reported.
The 29-year-old actress added that the unintentional incident changed her name, and forced her to live with a spelling error as it was on the papers then after.
