After investigations, legendary rock keyboardist Keith Emerson's death has been tagged as a suicide.
Law enforcement sources revealed that Emerson had a single gunshot wound to the head when his girlfriend found him in their home in Santa Monica on March 10, reports TMZ.com.
The Emerson, Lake and Palmer co-founder had recently been suffering from a serious medical problem a degenerative nerve issue in his right hand.
It was also reported that he could only play the keyboard with 8 fingers at this point and was even struggling with depression.
The news of 71-year-old musician's demise was confirmed on the band's official Facebook page.
