Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday rubbished the possibility of the AAP extending its support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Commenting on AAP leader Prashant Bhushan's statement about extending its support to the BJP if the Lokpal Bill was passed before December 29, Kejriwal said that was Bhushan's personal opinion and that the AAP will never give or take support from the BJP.

"The question should not rise on whether we will extend our support to the BJP, as that will never happen. That is the viewpoint of the whole party," said Kejriwal.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said Bhushan was only giving his personal opinion and was not speaking on behalf of the party.

"Bhushan was just giving his personal opinion and if the BJP is so interested in the Lokpal Bill, why don't they work on it in the states where they have won on the first place," he said.

Bhushan had said if the BJP agreed to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill by December 29, as promised by the Aam Aadmi Party, and was willing to give this in writing, they might consider supporting the party.

He had later clarified, saying that it was his personal view and not that of his party.
