Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has said his military has 'ashamed and defeated' al-Qaeda-linked terrorists after the Nairobi mall massacre ended, which lasted four days.
Kenyatta said in a national address that Kenya's armed forces killed five of the militants and took eleven into custody.
According to Fox News, he said 61 civilians and six security officers were killed in the violence at the Westgate Mall, and called for three days of national mourning beginning on Wednesday.
Kenyatta added that three floors of the mall collapsed and that there are 'several bodies still trapped in the rubble, including the terrorists.
