Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has been tipped to become England's top scorer by former Bolton forward Kevin Davies, and overtake Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 goals.
According to the Daily Star, Three Lions star Rooney, still only 28 has rattled home 38 international goals and needs to hit 12 more to leapfrog the World Cup winner's tally of 49.
Davies said that the striker would certainly go on and break it, adding that he expects him to do so because of the way he is playing.
Rooney gets the chance to score again when the Three Lions host Germany on Tuesday, the report said.
Davies said that he could not imagine Rooney would have anything on his mind other than breaking the record.
