As another round of talks between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the Nawaz Sharif government concluded in the capital city of Islamabad, both sides have claimed that "progress has been made" but admitted that there are still key issues that need to be resolved.
The meeting was held at the residence of PTI Secretary General Jehangir Tareen on Sunday. While speaking to the media after the meeting, PTI leader, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, said that meaningful dialogue has begun and both sides are making efforts to break the impasse.
This was the first time that the PTI expressed positive sentiments about the ongoing negotiations with the Pakistani government.
While emphasizing the need to end the political crisis that has impacted the country's economy adversely, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, who led the government panel, said that the two sides would meet again on Monday to continue the talks.
