Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama has said that he should not have any successors and that the institution of Dalai Lama had 'served its purpose'.
The 14th Dalai Lama said that they had had a Dalai Lama for almost five centuries and that they should finish the institute with the current popular Dalai Lama.
He also said that it would be a disgrace if a weak Dalai Lama comes along. Tibetan Buddhism is not dependent on one person, added the spiritual leader.
He has been a Nobel Prize winner in 2011 and retired from political duties.
The Dalai Lama is the globally recognized face for the ongoing Tibetan movement.
