Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has given his nod to the Delhi Police to prosecute AAP leader Somnath Bharti in the 2014 KhirkiExtension raid case.
Bharti, who is currently drawing ire for his 'safer Delhi for beautiful women' remark, had faced condemnation from across the political spectrum for his controversial raid on the intervening night of January 15 and 16 last year.
Bharti and his followers had allegedly barged into the residence of a few African nationals living in Khirki Extension claiming they had received complaints by other residents in the area of a drugs and prostitution racket.
