'Khoobsurat' has earned Rs 3 crores in its opening weekend at the Pakistani box office, it has been reported.
The film marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani television star, Fawad Khan, and it was released on 46 screens across Pakistan, the Express Tribune reported.
Amjad Rasheed, owner of IMGC Entertainment, said that this was the first time this has ever happened because no Pakistani film has ever made Rs1 crore on a non-holiday weekday.
It was previously reported that 'Khoobsurat' had comprehensively beaten the Yash Raj Films produced 'Daawat-e-Ishq' in advanced bookings in cinemas in Pakistan.
It was also mentioned that the comedy film jointly produced by Disney India and Anil Kapoor Films Company has had such high demand that cinema owners had to increase the number of shows per day from the initially decided three shows per day to the current seven to eight shows a day.
