Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirti Azad on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, and said that he has become the pimp of the United States of America (USA) with his latest policies.
"It seems that the Prime Minister has become a pimp of the United States of America. You could see that in the nuclear deal and now you will see it in FDI. I have not much to say about this government because we have better things to do then to talk about this government," he said, when asked that the Prime Minister has backed FDI in the telecom sector.
According to reports, the Prime Minister has in a bid to send strong message to global investors backed the finance ministry and industry department's plan to raise Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) ceiling in telecom to 100 percent, besides allowing overseas flows into several sectors without prior government approval.
