While it may take the 'Game of Thrones' fans a long time to shake off Kit Harington's Jon Snow image, the actor already seems to be on it as he will turn into a villain for latest Call of Duty video game.

Talking about it, the game's narrative director Taylor Kurosaki said, "Kit is an amazing talent and the consummate pro. Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role."

He added that they can't wait for fans to see the 29-year-old actor play an entirely different kind of character.

Meanwhile, Dave Stohl, head of Infinity ward studio announced that the filmmaker Guy Ritchie will direct Harington's scenes after completing his work on the trailer for Black Ops 2.

Stohl further said that since Ritchie is a "friend" of the franchise, he will assist in bringing "Kit Harington's character to life" in this upcoming first-person shooter video game.

The game's official Facebook page has also shared a video showing Harington filming the role in a motion-capture suit.

'Call on Duty: Infinite Warfare' will see Harrington play the face of the Settlement Defense Front, a radical organisation that wants to destroy Earth.

Infinite Warfare is an upcoming thirteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 4 this year.
