The Kolkata Knight Riders has clinched the Indian Premier League (IPL) title for the second time after defeating Kings XI Punjab by three wickets in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Despite an impressive unbeaten century (155) by Wriddhiman Saha, which took Punjab to 199-4, however, Kolkata's Manish Pandey scored 94 off 50 balls to lead his team to 200-7 and a second IPL trophy.

According to Sport24, Manan Vohra and Saha combined for a 129-run third-wicket stand after Punjab slipped to 30-2 inside six overs with Virender Sehwag (7) and George Bailey (1) both dismissed.

Punjab had looked behind in the contest as they scored just 58 runs off the first 10 overs of their innings but Saha and Vohra upped the ante when the hammered 19 runs off 14th over, bowled by mystery spinner Sunil Narine, and 20 runs off the 15th over, bowled by Morne Morkel, the report added.
