The trial run of a bus service from Kolkata to Dhaka has been successfully completed, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed on Tuesday.
The official twitter account of the Home Minister's Office shared this information.
"Trial run of Kolkata Dhaka bus service is complete. Kolkata- Agartala via Dhaka bus service will commence soon: HM in Kolkata," it posted.
According to reports, the trial run for the Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala route will take place on June 1, with the bus passing through two Indo-Bangladesh border posts - at Petrapol-Benapole and
Akhaura-Agarwal.
