Kurt Cobain's album of rare unreleased solo material set for summer release

Kurt Cobain's unreleased solo material is all set to be released as an album this summer, it has been revealed.

The late American singer's documentary helmer Brett Morgen has access to a bunch of the singer's unreleased home recordings and plans to compile them into a full-length album, the Verge reported.

In a recent interview, Morgen said that the unreleased solo material of the singer will really surprise people also made it clear that it was not a Nirvana album, and will include only Cobain's songs.

Morgen, who has directed a documentary on Cobain titled 'Montage of Heck' added that the album was culled from over 200 hours of cassette recordings found in Cobain's personal belongings.
