Kyocera Corporation announced that it completed a new manufacturing facility in Ganzhou City Jiangxi Province, China aimed at further strengthening the company's industrial cutting tool business in the country.
This is the fourth Kyocera manufacturing facility in China (Dongguan, Zhuhai and Shanghai), which enables fully integrated production for industrial cutting tools in the region.
The four locations give the company enhanced cooperation, capacity and flexibility to quickly meet the diversified needs of customers in China and enhance customer support as it aims to further increase sales in the region.
The new plant will produce carbide inserts. On June 3rd, a completion ceremony was held at Kyocera Precision Tools (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. (KPTG) in Ganzhou City.
KPTG was established in January as a joint venture between Kyocera and a tungsten refining company in China, Ganzhou Grand Sea Group Co., Ltd., in order to meet the growing demand for industrial cutting tools in the automotive industry in China where more automobiles are manufactured than in any other country in the world.
