Kyocera Corporation President Goro Yamaguchi announced the opening of its annual illumination event which will be held at its headquarters in Kyoto City, Japan from November 30 through December 25.

Kyocera has been presenting the holiday season illumination event to help invigorate the local community ever since the company's current headquarters were relocated in 1998. Since 2006, the trees in the public garden area in front of the building have been illuminated by LEDs, enhancing the festive sensation of the giant Christmas tree that is created on the outside of the building using office room lights and decorations.

In the evenings, the headquarters building, public garden area in front of the main entrance, and the area around The Inamori Library will be transformed with roughly 200,000 LEDs of various colors and an 86-meter giant Christmas tree display.

For the giant Christmas tree, the Kyocera headquarters 20-storey building is decorated to create the shape of a classic fir tree by utilizing select lighting from office windows on both the east and west sides of the building. Flashing lamps, green and red lighting and a huge "Merry X-mas".

There will also be a classical concert performed by Kyoto Seibo Gakuin Junior High School /Senior High School hand-bell and chorus clubs. Come to enjoy the heart-warming voices and harmonious sound of the hand-bells while viewing the illumination display.
