Anglo- French actress Kristin Scott Thomas has said that lack of film roles for actresses in their 50s is a disaster and the situation is unlikely to change.
Speaking on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show, the 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' star said that until the average lifespan was 150 years or something, she does not think that women in their 50s were going to be considered at all viable, the BBC reported.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who will soon be seen in World War II drama 'Suite Francaise', was quoted earlier as saying that she was stopping making films because she was bored with playing similar roles and she could not cope with another film.
Thomas is best known for roles in 'The English Patient', 'Gosford Park' and 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'.
