The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed police to provide security to those who want to observe martyrdom of Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh at Shadman Chowk here on March 23.

Pakistan's Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation had filed a petition in the HC seeking security to mark the death anniversary of Bhagat Singh.

Shadman Chowk is the place where India's three bravehearts, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were hanged on March 23, 1931 for revolting against the British colonial rule.
