Lamar Odom seems to be completely shaken up with his best friend Jamie Sangouthai's sudden death due to drug overdose.
A source informed that the American basketball player, who didn't speak to his childhood friend for the past one year, realised after his death that he could personally be in a very different place if he was still as close to Sangouthai, E! Online has reported.
The source added that it's very scary when someone you know so well dies suddenly, but still the 35-year-old basketball player is trying to cope with the tragic news with the help of his other friends in Las Vegas.
Odom's former wife Khloe Kardashian seems to be standing by him, as she recently tweeted that "Life doesn't get easier but this will make you stronger".
