LAX police search airport after gunshots reportedly fired

Police at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are investigating reports of a shooting incident which took place late Sunday night in one of the terminals of Los Angeles International Airport.

The police let people back inside the airport after ordering an evacuation.

The Los Angeles Airport Police Department did not immediately confirm whether there was a shooter. It, however, said that a search was ongoing, reports the Washington Times.

According to reports, people were seen running from multiple terminals at the airport and multiple calls were coming in for terminals 1, 5, and 7.

According to LA County Scanner, a freelance media covering news for Los Angeles, shooting is taking place at terminal 8.

LA County Scanner tweeted, "#LAPD. Major shooting incident! #Pacoima. Fenton Ave and Jouett St. 3 victims down.
