Praising his players for playing aggressive cricket that allowed them to whitewash England 5-0 in the Ashes series, Australia coach Darren Lehmann has said that they would employ the same tactic to bounce out South African tail during the Test series, staring February 12.
Lehmann said the series against South Africa will be an aggressive series and Australia will attack their tail on any bouncy track they get.
He further said no-one likes facing pacers on a bouncy trcak and the team had deployed same tactic in England but it was difficult to employ there because of the slower wickets.
South African pitches are more like Australia's, so Lehmann plans to use the bounce to attack Proteas.
He said his pacers deliberately targeted English bowlers with short balls in the same way as the West Indies did to other nations in the 1980s and Australia did to the West Indies in 1995 when Glenn McGrath fired up, Telegraph.com.au reports.
Lehmann said Australia is fortunate to have a pace attack that can bowl beyond the 145kph and, in Mitchell Johnson's case, comfortably beyond it.
Australia became the first Test team to win 5-0 with the same playing XI, the first team to set an opponent 500 for victory three times in a row, the first Australian team to take all 100 wickets in a five Test Ashes series.
