Leonardo DiCaprio is all set to star as an 11th century Viking king, Harald Hardrada, who has been described as the last great Viking conqueror, in Mark L. Smith's film.

According to Deadline.com, Warner Bros. has made a pre-emptive acquisition of the project that would permit the 'Great Gatsby' star to produce with his Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran, Contactmusic reported.

The movie, which has reportedly been titled, 'King Harald', is believed to be on the lines of the historical drama war film and Mel Gibson starrer- 'Braveheart'.
