Liam Gallagher sparks Oasis reunion rumour on Twitter

Twitter went into a meltdown after Liam Gallagher sparked an Oasis reunion rumour by posting a cryptic note on the micro blogging site.

The 41-year-old singer spelt out Oasis letter-by-letter in five individual tweets then posted "OASIS LG" on Twitter, the Daily Express reported.

Soon afterwards "If Oasis" and "Liam Gallagher" were trending on Twitter as fans predicted these messages could signal a comeback for the band.

Earlier this month Liam attended an exhibition that marked the 20th anniversary of their landmark album 'Definitely Maybe'.
