English footballer-turned TV personality Gary Lineker is reportedly ruing his 'big mouth' after unwisely vowing to get his ears pinned back if Real Madrid defeated holders Bayern Munich 1-0 in their Champions League semi-final clash.
The Match of the Day host made his pledge during the first-half of the game between the two Champions League giants, and unfortunately for Lineker, Real managed to weather Bayern's pressure and grind out the match by a single goal.
According to Metro.co.uk, Lineker tweeted that his 'big mouth has done for his big ears' after making the unwise bet, although he is not the first person to fall victim to the Twitter bet.
Earlier in the season one Chelsea fan got a tattoo of John Obi Mikel on this bum after the Nigerian popped up with an unlikely goal, while an Arsenal supporter covered himself in jam after backing Nicklas Bendtner not to score, the report added.
