Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has said that it is the club's job to convince Luis Suarez to stay at Anfield for the next season.

Earlier, Suarez had suggested that he would be prepared to leave Liverpool if the right offer came along.

The Mirror reports that the chief is optimistic that he and manager Rodgers can talk the striker out of a transfer once he joins the Reds' pre-season tour.

Ayre has also confirmed that Arsenal is the only club to have made an actual bid.
