Liverpool owner John Henry has said that the Anfield club is not going to sell its striker Luis Suarez and said the notion of doing business with Arsenal was 'ludicrous'.

According to the Mirror, the American went one step further by insisting Suarez's shocking outburst earlier this week has backfired spectacularly, with the Reds now adamant he will not be sold to any club before the transfer window shuts on September 2, and their owner insisting it's not about money.

Presenting the club's position on the Suarez saga, the American calmly explained he would refuse to bow to player pressure if it damages the interests of the football club in any way.

Henry said that it was obviously ludicrous to sell to a rival and there was a football reason to it, which was not about finances.
