Liza Minnelli has checked into a Malibu rehab facility to seek treatment for substance abuse.
The 69-year-old legendary singer and actress has been in the facility for several days, and according to a rep she has been making "excellent progress", TMZ.com reported.
The Oscar winning star, whose mother Judy Garland had also struggled with addiction before dying of overdose in 1969, is believed to have the main issue of alcohol consumption, and has been "valiantly battling" substance abuse over the years.
Minnelli was also offered half a million in 2010 to do the reality show 'Celebrity Rehab,' which she passed.
