As soon as the House met for the day as part of the extended monsoon session, members from Andhra Pradesh belonging to the Congress and the TDP, trooped into the well of the house to protest against the formation of Telangana.
Speaker Meira Kumar tried to persuade them to return to their seats, but in vain.
Referring to relevant rules on House proceedings, she also suspended nine agitating members.
