In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha General Elections, Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Manoj Yadava on Wednesday held a meeting with police officers of Hisar Range and reviewed law and order, crime and other related matters of five districts.
He also took stock of preparations made by local police, demand for police force, number of sensitive and hyper-sensitive booths and the action plan of police.
While reviewing the district-wise arrangements, Yadava instructed the officers to completely curb the crime and criminal activities in their respective areas.
Emphasising the strengthening of intelligence wing, the DGP also instructed them to intensely investigate in criminal cases like under Arms Act, NDPS Act so that involvement of others in such network could be unearthed and recurrence of crime could be prevented.
He also instructed them to take stern action on those involved in racket of drug peddling.
Calling upon the officers to discharge their duties with utmost dedication and honesty, Yadava said that Police should enhance their visibility on roads so that the common man and women can feel safe and secure.
He asked them to closely monitor cases pertaining to crime against women and take immediate action on such complaints. Stressing on traffic management, he said that work should be done in a planned and effective manner to avoid traffic congestion.
The meeting was attended among others by Inspector General of Police, Hisar Range, Amitabh Singh Dhillon, Superintendent of Police, Hisar, Shivcharan Atri, Superintendent of Police, Jind, Ashwin Shanvi, Superintendent of Police, Hansi, Virendra Vij, Superintendent of Police, Fatehabad, Vijay Pratap Singh, all Deputy Superintendents of Police and Inspectors of Hisar.
