Nearly three weeks after the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into force, cash worth Rs 131.63 crore and other materials have been seized, confirmed Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Lakku Venkateshwarlu here on Sunday.
"Over 31 lakh writings, posters, and banners have been removed from the public and private space in the state," stated Venkateshwarlu in a press release.
He also said that by far Anti-Narcotics Cell has seized a total of 10, 87,137 litres of liquor.
The CEO also mentioned that under the mandate of Lok Sabha polls, a total of 7,54,014 licensed weapons have been surrendered so far.
