A survey recently revealed that many disputes occur among people while going on a long car trips.
The poll of AA members found that disputes over the best route to take are the biggest cause of rows on car journeys, while other topics that spark arguments include driving too fast, failing to ask for directions, noisy children, shouting at other drivers, the temperature in the car, where to eat or what music to play, and even the topics of conversation also caused friction, the Daily Express reported.
It was also established that two in three people admitted they argued while on the road but those aged 18 to 24 were more likely to fall out than over 65s.
The survey revealed that people in Northern Ireland were most likely to get furious when in car, while people belonging to southwest England were least argumentative.
Edmund King, AA president said that long journeys often get fraught but the key to keep arguments at bay was to prepare well for the journey.
