General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC) Northern Command, Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh on Thursday visited the Counter Insurgency Force- Romeo to review the security situation in Maniyarwala, Uttarakhand.
The GOC was accompanied by the White Knight Corps Commander, Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh. The Army Commander reviewed the prevailing security situation and the preparedness of force in dealing with the same.
The Army Commander also visited the forward posts, where he was briefed on the actions being undertaken for a counter-terrorist grid.
In the view of the recent terror threats to the ongoing Amarnath yatra Singh, The Army Commander also reviewed the security arrangements at Nagrota Military Station.
Lt. Gen Singh interacted with the soldiers, lauded them for their efforts, and encouraged them to remain vigilant.
