M.I.A. recently took to her Instagram account and announced that she is all set to release a new three-song mixtape and a short film.
The 39-year-old uploaded a screenshot of an email to her label, adding the caption: "It's real! here's my press release you know that same time as my label, the Verge has reported.
The English recording artist also described it as "a piece of work that has no boundaries and transitions."
The mixtape will constitute M.I.A's first release since 2013's 'Matangi,' a colourful stew that won many critics over but sold poorly.
