The original script of 'Star Wars' found at University of New Brunswick confirmed that Han Solo shot Greedo first.
Now, a Canadian librarian who's located a copy of an early script claimed to have confirmed what even George Lucas has denied that Han was the aggressor in a short battle that ended in the death of a bumpy green alien, Stuff.co.nz has reported.
However, when Lucas and Lucasfilm re-released the movies in 1997 as updated digital special editions, the scene was recut, with a wide-shot added to make it very clear that Greedo shot first.
Lucasfilm confirmed that the script appeared to be a copy made by a fan, leading Tech Times to wonder whether "this was really what Lucas initially envisioned for the character, or if it was just a fan wanting to portray Han as a "cold-blooded killer." But CBC reporter Matthew Bingley said the studio confirmed the script's contents as well.
