The Pakistani military on Saturday claimed to foil a major terrorist plot for attack in Lahore on Easter.
"A major terrorist attack planned for Easter in Lahore tomorrow successfully foiled by intelligence agencies in Lahore," said a statement from Pakistan military's media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
"Security forces conducted a special IBO near Punjab Housing Society Lhr. 1 terrorist killed, 1 lady arrested while 4 soldiers including 2 officers got injured. Suicide Jackets and explosive recovered," the statement added.
On Easter last year, at least 72 people were killed in a suicide blast that took place in Lahore's crowded Gulshan-i-Iqbal park.
