Manchester City produced a high class performance as they moved to the verge of their first ever Champions League quarter-final after claiming a 3-1 away win over Dynamo Kyiv in the first leg of the last-16 tie at NSC Olimpiyskiy.
The Manuel Pellegrini-led side remained dominant throughout the match, with forward Sergio Aguero and midfielder David Silva both scoring the goals in the first half.
Aguero put his side ahead in the 15th minute of the match before Silva doubled the lead in the 40th minute, the Guardian reported.
After failing to score a goal in the first half, Dynamo's midfielder Vitaliy Buyalsky provided his side with some hope by smashing a goal in the 58th minute.
But City's midfielder Yaya Tour came up with the third goal for his side in the 89th minute to give City with a perfect finish.
City, which have now taken an advantage, will aim to seal the quarter-final berth when they take on Dynamo in the second leg of the last-16 tie on March 16.
