Manchester United is reportedly eyeing a sensational move for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi for next season, following the axing of manager David Moyes.
Spanish reports claim that the Argentine playmaker is on the wish list of new signings, with the United board ready to move at the end of the campaign as the owners, the Glazer family, want a world class signing to kick-start a new era at the club.
According to Metro.co.uk, Messi is currently enduring a miserable season, with Barcelona struggling and his own form suffering through a number of injuries.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have also been linked with the forward in recent weeks but both sides have previously distanced themselves from making huge signings this summer, the report added.
