Manchester United player Patrice Evra has caused a storm by calling 1998 World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu and three other pundits 'tramps' on a TV programme.
According to Metro.co.uk, the quartet had criticised the France left-back for giving a half-time team-talk during Les Bleus' 4-2 win over Belarus in September when the Manchester United man was a substitute.
Speaking on a French show, Evra did not hold back in his appraisal of his detractors, the report said.
He said that there were some pundits with whom he would soon settle his differences, as they want to sell a lie to the French people that Evra is disliked, which is not the case at all.
He added that he did know what Lizarazu had against him, with being voted twice as the best left-back in the world and four times the best left-back in the Premier League.
Evra said that people had a good impression of him and these tramps could not dirty his image, adding that they must stop lying to the French people.
Lizarazu responded by saying that he had also been once voted the best left-back in the world.
The FFF has asked the 32-year-old to explain his comments, the report added.
