Mandy Moore has opened up about her 2006-chance encounter with Meghan Markle, the now Duchess of Sussex.
In an interview with a publication, the 'This is Us' star was asked about a group photo which featured both her and Markle. Talking about it, Moore explained that the picture was taken back in 2006 when she was shooting for 'License to Wed', which was being produced by Markle' ex-husband Trevor Engelson.
Moore stressed that the 'Suits' alum "is a lovely, generous woman."
"Her ex-husband was a producer on a movie that I worked on, so I met her back in 2006 and spent a lot of time with them, a lot of time with her, and she is a lovely, generous woman," the actress and singer told Access, as reported by People magazine.
The 34-year-old further said, "We spent a lot of time in Jamaica where some of the movie was shot. We spent quite a bit of time - I think we spent New Year's with them that year. We spent some time over the summer in the Hamptons with them."
Moore added that though it was another lifetime ago, "but she's wonderful."
The 'A Walk To Remember' actor also gushed about Markle's reveal that she "really likes" American comedy series 'This Is Us'.
Moore revealed she learned about Markle being a fan of her show when she congratulated the Duchess on her engagement with Prince Harry.
"She was very kind and said that she really likes 'This Is Us'. She watches the show, so that was pretty cool," Moore said. "She's just a normal, regular girl.
