Manil Suri has secured the 21st 'Bad Sex in Fiction' award for his novel 'The City of Devi'.

The book which has an ecstatic bisexual orgy, which climaxes against a backdrop of imminent nuclear annihilation, set in Mumbai, has placed the Indian-born author among the pantheon of writers recognized by the Literary Review for producing the "most egregious passage of sexual description in a novel", the Independent reported.

Suri was given the award for the diffusion of sexual ecstasy through time, space and consciousness at the climax of an extended sex scene involving all three main characters.
