The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said former Congress MP Matang Singh's arrest reveals enormity of the Saradha chit-fund scam.
"The law will take its own course. The CBI is investigating the matter. We can now see how big the Saradha chit-fund scam is. It has affected Bengal, Assam. And now after the TMC leaders, even the Congress ministers are being arrested. All those who have looted lakhs of people must now face the law," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.
Matang Singh was earlier today arrested by the CBI in connection with the Saradha chit-fund scam.
He was earlier summoned by the investigating agency for questioning in connection with the scam.
