The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday urged the Delhi State Election Commission (DSEC) to immediately provide postal ballots for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections.
Talking to ANI here, Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari expressed surprise that till date postal ballot papers are not provided to those who want to cast their votes in MCD polls, which are salted on April 23, 2017.
The BJP leader termed it as a big lapse on the part of the DSEC.
Postal voting is voting in an election whereby ballot papers are distributed to government officials and people on election duty so that they can cast their votes. Postal ballots are returned by post to be included in the counting.
