The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has tweeted the emergency helpline numbers following the Haj tragedy near Mecca.
The numbers are: 00966125458000 and 00966125496000. The toll free number for pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is 8002477786.
Earlier, the MEA said the Indian mission in Jeddah was closely monitoring the situation following the stampede.
At least 310 pilgrims were killed while an Indian was among the 450 people who were injured in a horrific stampede during the Haj pilgrimage in Mina on Thursday.
The tragedy took place less than two weeks after a massive crane fell in the grand mosque at Mecca, killing over 100 and injuring more than 200 people.
