A 66-year-old Hong Kong man got the shock of his life when he found out that he was actually a woman, following his visit to the doctor for a swollen abdomen.
According to the Hong Kong Medical Journal, the doctors discovered that the patient was really a female after they found out that the abdominal swelling was due to an ovarian cyst, Fox news reported.
The condition was the result of two rare genetic disorders.
The man apparently had Turner syndrome, which affects only one in 2500 to 3000 girls and women.
The condition results from a problem with the chromosomes and its characteristics include infertility and short build.
He was also suffering from congenital adrenal hyperplasia that increases male hormones, making the patient, who had a beard and a "micropenis", look like a man.
