Former matrimonial attorney turned a divorce 'fixer'; Nicole Noonan rescues Big Apple to-be-ex-wives against meager alimony and lousy custody arrangements and hooks them up with a loan for protracted legal proceedings.
According to New York Post, Noonan with model looks and bookish brains is the secret weapon of lawsuit lender BBL Churchill, which focuses exclusively on divorce financing.
Noonan co-chairs the New York Junior League, the elite charitable organization whose member ranks have included many first ladies plus Katharine Hepburn and Julia Child.
Noonan said that when people come to them they're afraid because their assets are frozen or their credit cards are cut off adding that it is definitely one of the hardest parts of their lives.
The report said that she prefers being a divorce fixer because she gets to use her compassionate side to help women 'maintain a certain lifestyle' while headed toward a breakup.
Noonan said that she tells them when there's seemingly no end in sight that this divorce will not go on for 50 years.
According to the report, the typical loan is about 250,000 dollars which goes toward both attorney fees and living expenses for members of the ladies-who-lunch set who suddenly find themselves short on cash flow. Repayment comes after a resolution of the divorce or from the sale of a shared asset, such as a vacation home.
Lyle said since his clients have got a war chest behind them and they're not starved into an early settlement is very empowering, noting that their boldface names frequently appear on Page Six, the report added.
