Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp have parted ways after 3 years of relationship.
A source told People magazine, that it was the distance that came between the 52-year-old actress and the singer, 62, since they lived in New York and Indiana respectively.
Mellencamp had previously said that he couldn't bear to see the sufferings of the poor, the trash, or the paparazzi in New York, and would prefer to live and die in Indiana.
The pair, who had started dating back in 2010 post Mellencamp's split from his wife of 18 years, had kept their relationship low profile throughout.
