Mehcad Brooks has joined the cast of CBS' pilot 'Supergirl' and is set to co-star opposite Melissa Benoist.
The project from Warner Bros. TV and studio-based Berlanti Prods centers on DC Comics characters Kara Zor-El, played by Benoist, who decides to embrace her superhuman abilities, Deadline.com reported.
Brooks, 34, would fill the role photographer James Olsen, who works at media company CatCo with Kara. He has recently been living and working in National City, though the reason is still a secret.
The character has been seen in several Superman/Supergirl projects, played by actors like Jack Larson, Tommy Bond, Marc McClure, Michael Landes, Justin Whalin, Aaron Ashmore, as well as Sam Huntington in the 2006 feature 'Superman Returns'.
